Zips come in many different types to suit different needs and here at calico laine we have a wide variety to choose from. Our nylon dress zips come in both regular and concealed and are brilliant for both dress making and for cushions as they are closed at the end. The regular dress Zips are available in over 40 different colours and are available in sizes 4 inch to 22 inch. We also have nickel trouser zips which are more suited to heavier weight trousers such as jeans. Open ended Zips are perfect for a coat, cardigan, gilet or jacket where the zip needs to come away at the end.  These come in nylon, plastic, nickel, brass and heavy- duty. The nylon zips come in the largest range of colours and range from sizes 10 to 36 inch. The plastic Zips have a chunkier track making them more desirable if you are concerned that the fabric of your garment may be likely to get stuck in the track, they are also considered easier for children to use. These are a available in sizes 10 to 30 inch. For coats people often choose a nickel or brass zip depending on the style you are looking for. Heavy duty zips are more suited to heavier weight jackets such as leather. We now have more colours available in our continuous zipping. This type of Zip is useful if you require a very long zip as most open ended zips are only available up to 36 inches in length. This can be cut to whatever length you need and comes with a Zip pull that can be pulled onto the zip track. This is an extremely versatile product with a zip track width of 5mm.
