We know that your sewing and craft projects are something that you put a lot of time and effort into, and our staff at both of our stores (based in Neston and Wallasey in the North West of the United Kingdom) are always happy to help you find that perfect fabric, trim or haberdashery item that you have been looking for. Beginning as a market stall in 1973, Calico Laine was started by David and Wendy Baker at various locations, including Birkenhead, Chester, Liverpool, Neston and Oswestry. As their business grew more and more popular, the decision was made to set up a Fabric Shop in a permanent location in Wallasey, with a second establishment opened in 2008 in Neston. Today, Calico Laine also runs an online e-commerce store to serve customers all across the United Kingdom and even the rest of the world. We strive to always stock the latest, most sought after fabrics and other dressmaking items, including trims, threads and all kinds of haberdashery equipment. We make an effort to keep our prices low and fair to all of our visitors both online and in our two stores, as we realise that dressmaking can quickly become an expensive hobby and some customers quite often have a budget that they must stick to for a project. In addition to this, our staff members are always happy to advise on fabrics and their uses, as well as being able to suggest alternatives if something isn't quite what you are looking for.
