So winter is in full flow now and the snow is falling outside. For some people they enjoy a little snow, but for me I just can't seem to get warm. When the weather takes a turn for the worse, I always seem to look for new warmer dressmaking fabrics. I have found over the years that by wearing a couple of thinner layers and layering fabric that this seems to keep me warmer. So in today's blog entry I am going to chat a little about the range of warm winter dressmaking fabrics.
- Double Knit Jersey: This jersey is one of my personal favourites. It is perfect for day time uses and also for evening wear. It is a rich heavy fabrics that is 150cm wide.
- Melton: A lovely fabric that is fairly new to us here at Calico Laine, Melton is perfect for making into coats or jackets. It is 150cm wide as well.
- Fleece: One of the most popular fabrics for when the fabrics for when the weather takes a turn for the worse. Fleece is available in both plain and patterned designs and is also 150cm wide.
