In previous blogs about Haberdashery, we have spoken about the many uses of different types of various products for within Crafts and Dressmaking. Today I would now like to look at some of the uses of  Haberdashery in a slightly different way. Here at Calico Laine we have several  options that can be used for the purposes of decoration, and I would like to talk about how they can be used and incorporated into your projects.... One of the first Haberdashery items that is often used for decoration is Feathers. Feathers can be used in a variety of ways whether they are attached to costumes as an unusual design feature, hats and fascinators to really add a touch of glamour, or even  as ornate table decorations for that special occasion! For the purpose of ornamentation, Organza is a Haberdashery product that not only comes in a wider width, but also as a Snow Sheer variation on a roll with a width of 29cm. This makes Organza the perfect item to use for special occasion such as weddings, and is often used to decorate interior furnishings such as tables and chairs - perfect for pulling together the finishing touches for any colour scheme!
