The word ‘Chiffon’ comes from an old French word that means ‘rag’. It is a very lightweight Cheap Fabric material that is smooth to the touch and very sheer. Chiffon is traditionally made from silk, however it can also be made out of cotton, and most popularly using synthetic fibres such as polyester.
