Making Toys is not only an enjoyable pastime which is very rewarding as the finished products are not only cute, they are fulfilling if you have made them into gifts as everybody loves a cuddly toy (especially a hand made one!!) The great thing about making toys is that you can make exactly what you want whether it is a bear, pony or even delightful decorations for your Christmas tree as it is not too far away now! One of the most obvious fabrics to choose from is our range of Faux Fur Fabric.... Fur Fabric has a long pile which creates a fluffy finish, the designs that are available range from Aligator, Brown Cow, Ladybird amongst others and is lovely and soft to the touch! Our Faux Fur really will create a life like toy as the designs and colours are fantastic! Another fabric that would be ideal for toy making is our Velboa, this fabric is a luxuriously soft fabric with a short pile pony skin fabric! The designs that are available are fantastic and really true to the actual animals! This fabric is also used for fancy dress and normal dressmaking ideas! made from 100% polyester and 145 cm wide... Of course, if you are looking for a plain fabric which you can combine together yourself, you can really choose any fabric that we have in stock! Patchwork toys are especially lovely and really look unique... Once you have created your toy, simply insert your toy stuffing and attach any Toy Components such as eyes and noses to really add personality to your toy! Safety Eyes are also available here at Calico Laine so you don't have to worry about them coming loose or becoming a danger to children...We even sell squeakers if you are making your stuffed toy for your dog or a small child!
