As the colder weather is fast approaching us, Tartans and Brushed Cottons are right on trend! Tartan is a medium weight fabric made from Polyester and Viscose and can be made into all sorts of different dressmaking ideas such as skirts or tops which are inspired from Scotland and Ireland.  Our Tartan combines bold designs with some beautiful colours which have been passed down from different clans. A very popular idea is making Tartan into scarves which are not only stylish, but will keep you warm too! We stock may of the famous designs such as 'Blackwatch' and 'Lyndsey Tartan' which are recognized all over the world! Tartans can also be used as tablecloths and to decorate interiors so come and have a look around and see if any of our designs take your fancy! Brushed Cotton Fabric is extra soft and is available in some stunning designs and colour ways which again, are inspired by Tartan prints! They are made from 100% cotton and can be made into all types of dressmaking ideas and are suitable for men, women and children! Brushed Cotton is 150cm wide (60") and is a medium weight fabric which looks especially great when made into shirts and can also line other garment to really add that luxury feel! A personal favourite is the 'Glenbarrock Brushed Cotton Check' which combines beige's, reds and subtle greens which is also fitting for Christmas too!
