So Summer is on its way and everyone loves to have a lovely new summer dress don't they? Things are becoming very unoriginal on the high street so why not make your own? These are some of my favourite dress making fabrics at this time; Rose & Hubble Cotton Lawn We stock a few different patterns of this fabric and each one is as beautiful as the next, most of the Cotton Lawn Fabrics are floral prints. The fabrics flow beautifully so are perfect for summer dresses, it is also an excellent choice of fabric as it is a light weight fabric so it won't make you hot and sticky during the hot days. They are quite see through so if you're making a dress then you will need to line it, maybe try our Poplins or Jersey fabrics. The Cotton Lawns are 144cm wide and 100% Cotton. Jardin Cotton I love these fabrics, they are such a beautiful fabric to work with and to wear. They are made from 97% Cotton and 3% Spandex. There are many prints available in this fabric such as floral and aztec, a long with a few plain colours. I believe this fabric is an amazing fabric for body con dresses and skirts. Linen Linen never goes out of fashion does it? So why not treat yourself and make a new suit, new skirt or even a new pair of summer trousers. Our Linen Fabric is extremely good quality and will last a life time if looked after properly. There are many summer colours available such as pink, purple, white, natural and cream.
