Floral Fabrics
Floral prints are always a Summer go-to, they look great on everyone and here at Calico Laine we have such a wide variety. My current favourite is our Azure Floral Cotton Print Fabric, a beautiful quality 100% cotton fabric in a fun vibrant blue. This would be perfect for a summer dress; the cotton fabric would make any garment light and breathable. We also have a brand new range of Digitally Printed French Crepe summer fabrics. These are part of our Easy-Care range due to their crease-free non-iron properties. French Crepe 4 is a beautiful brightly-coloured floral print with luxurious drape, making this perfect for a summer garden party dress with a bit of swish!
Another favourite is this new in Ivory/Wine Floral Print Fabric, a vintage-inspired pretty floral print. This is, again, 100% cotton but still has a lovely drape and handfeel. With the right pattern, this would be a gorgeous summer blouse.
Summer Colours
If you aren't a print-person, then why not try a stunning bright colour for summer. Mustard is everywhere at the moment, and we are no different here at Calico Laine. To add a pop of colour to your summer wardrobe, we have a Mustard Polycotton or a stunning Yellow Cotton Jersey. These are great for t-shirts and dresses alike. If you are more into pastels, shades like mint and peach tones are ideal for the warmer months. Why not try our Mint Plain Cotton Poplin or Peach Craft Cotton when shopping for your summer fabrics.
