Here at Calico Laine we have a lovely choice of sheer fabrics which give a beautiful elegant look to any of your dressmaking designs! The reason why they are so popular is that they drape in a lovely light way and come in some stunning colours. They match up really well with some of our other fabrics such as the Crepe's and Satins and add a nice textured look for great value! Voile's are quite a new addition to our range, and can be used in dressmaking and as window dressing as they come in some beautiful complimenting colours. They will enhance any interior by nicely draping, without being to heavy as they are sheer to the look and touch. As there are a great choice of colours, it wont be hard to find one to match up to your tastes! You can also incorporate Voile into your dressmaking, to go over other fabrics too! Our voile's  come in a standard width of 150 cm wide and is brilliant value for money!! Another Sheer Fabric to look out for is our selection of Chiffon's  which come in 5 different finishes! Chiffon- This is a lovely flowing lightweight fabric which flows in such a beautiful manner ideal for evening wear, bridal wear and even dance wear. It is 115 cm wide and available in an array of colours. Cationic Chiffon- It is slightly wider than the normal chiffon at 140 cm wide and is iridescent so will pick up 2 different shades in different light. It looks and feel like real silk and is the same weight as the Chiffon! We also have Printed Chiffon's available in a choice of different colours and designs to create a unique looking garment, perfect for the warmer months that are coming up! We also have Organza in our range too which can be used in dressmaking and in your interior. It has an attractive sheen to it and is made from 100% polyester and is 150 cm wide.
