Within our Haberdashery Online section we provide a range of different boning and waistbands in various sizes, colours and designs for you to choose from. Boning is often used to create shape and lift into your design and is seen a lot in corset style dresses. For corsets its best to use either of our plastic covered steel boning to stiffen the ribs and create shape on the body or the polyester boning as its easy to work with and still gives a corset style finish on any garment.
One of the most popular and easy to use bonings is the curved petersham within our Haberdashery Online section. This is perfect for low waistline trousers and skirts as it creates a strong waistband and it can also be used on accessories like headbands. We also stock rigilene boning which you are able to sew straight through so you don't have to make your own casting and washable petersham which is stiff but very flexible. This boning is also great for waistlines on trousers and skirts.
