Stretch satin is similar to duchess satin in weight however it has 3% lycra in its fibre content which gives it a small amount of stretch providing the wearer with a comfortable fit. This fabric is a great value for money buy at £8.99 per metre as a special occasion outfit could be made with just a few metres. New colours added to this range are coral, fuchsia, cream, plum, sage, taupe and purple. Stretch satin is manufactured in Germany and is a high quality fabric which would be perfect for bridal wear both as a wedding gown or bridesmaid dresses. Crepe: Crepe is always a popular fabric with our customers and with the addition of new colours in the range, it is sure to become even more desirable. It is a heavyweight Dressmaking Fabric with a sumptuous texture which gives it a quality feel. Crepe is a great fabric to use if you are looking for an alternative to satin as it has a matt finish which is desirable for those customers who do not like shiny fabrics. The new range of crepe fabrics has 2% spandex in its fibre content, similar to the stretch satin, providing a slight stretch for extra comfort. It is a versatile Dressmaking Fabric as it will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer meaning it is an all year round fabric.
