In the past few years, the craft market has grown with people making all types of items including clothing, accessories and jewellery to sell as handmade products. People are increasingly looking to buy unique, one off products or to even make their own so that there is a bit of individuality to their items rather than mass manufactured pieces. With this is mind, we have expanded our jewellery making section here at Calico Laine to include some new Gutterman Beads suitable for making your own accessories. As a jewellery maker myself, I have made a few necklaces and bracelets using the Gutterman range and they are great quality beads. My personal favourite are the Faceted Beads which come in both 4mm and 6mm size. The facets on the beads are coloured with an AB finish which gives the finished jewellery a real sparkle to it. Another favourite of mine are the Renaissance beads which are a pearl style bead. Using these with the faceted beads gives your jewellery a classic feel with a modern twist. Again, these are available in 4mm and 6mm giving you the chance to make a very delicate piece of jewellery or a slightly chunkier piece, whatever your preference is. If you are looking for larger beads the Gutterman range includes Lumina and Metallica beads. These come in two piece or three piece tubes and are ideal if you are wanting to have a few feature beads on your jewellery. The Metallica beads have a metallic shiny finish whereas the Lumina beads are a more transparent finish to them. We always like to see what our customers have made using our products.
