As we have had a typical British Summer we are already thinking about heavier weight fabrics to keep us warmer! Gabardine is an ideal fabric to made into an array of many different garments including jackets trousers and can even be made into bags as it is a particularly substantial fabric. There are two types of Gabardine available- Cotton, which is made from 100% cotton and the Poly Cotton which consists of 35% cotton and 65% polyester. Gabardine is also perfect to be made into work overalls and is available in a selection of great colours! If you're looking for a smarter fabric, Melton is one i would definitely recommend! It feel like pure boiled wool and is very difficult to tell the difference! Ideal to be made into coats and jackets for the colder weather, the Melton is available in beautiful rich colours and just oozes class! It is 150 cm wide and brilliant value for money! We also stock a wide range of Jerseys too! Our Double Knit Jersey is a stunning heavier weight jersey which has an element of stretch to it and will provide luxurious comfort when made into clothing! It is a lovely fabric to work with and available in some fabulous colour too!
