Haberdashery can be used for many things and all of which are very useful to have in your home. Today I am going to discuss with you what I believe every person should have in their sewing box. Firstly and probably most importantly is a needle and thread. We sell a lot of different Threads including Gutermann and Mood threads. Next we come to the Needle - I would recommend our household assorted needles- brilliant for day to day uses. If you have difficulty threading needles yourself we sell needle threaders to make your life a lot easier. A good quality pair of fabric scissors is a must have item. Our Fiskars Scissors are a big seller and would be perfect for anyones sewing box. Fiskars sell different size scissors so whether your cutting huge amounts of fabric or just snipping loose threads- Fiskars have the perfect pair of Scissors for you. Tailors chalk is an important part of any sewing kit as it is easy to see and rubs off with ease. Our Tailors Chalk comes in different colours such as: red, blue and white and is also available in pencil form. Another must-have is a quick unpick- these make it easier if you make a mistake or for taking out old pockets quick and easy. They certainly are useful for a lot of things! Every sewing kit needs pins! Whether its dress making pins, sequin pins or quilting pins- we have the pins for you. Safety Pins are also a must have - they are one of the most handy things you will ever have. They can be a temporary fix for a broken zip or even to hold fabrics together.  I would also say a Tailors measuring tape is a handy thing to have because you never know when you will need it! Something not many people know about is Fray Check, This to me is extremely useful- it prevents the fabric from fraying and can withstand repeated washing.
