Regardless of the excellent reputation, Prym Haberdashery products speak for themselves. My newest purchase from Prym is a 25mm bias binding maker. A friend recommended this to me; although we’ve always sold them it had never crossed my mind to actually buy one. I’m so glad I finally did though because it's brilliant. I’m a big fan of bunting so this is ideal; I’m able to make my own binding to match the colours I’ve used within the bunting flags. I can highly recommend this product, it’s easy and fun to use.
My second favourite Haberdashery item is oddly my pin collection. Most people probably think that pins are just pins. I can assure you they’re not. The selection of Prym pins is extensive but I have two favourites which I always use. The bridal pins (024500) are good because they are a lot thinner than the other pins. If you are using a delicate fabric like a fine satin or silk then these are ideal as the pin marks are less noticeable. I also find the quilting pins (018485) are handy to have. The quilting pins are longer than regular pins and therefore enable you to get a better grip in the fabric, especially if you’re using thick fabric like fleece.
The final Haberdashery product I’m going to discuss is one I couldn’t live without. The Trick Marker (611089). It works like a tailor's chalk but it has the added advantage of self erasing after 24 hours(approximately). This product is ideal for quilting, dressmaking or any other fabric based craft. I find this marker to be particularly useful when working with felt because unlike other fabric, felt can’t be washed. I also don’t have the worry of pen marks showing up on my creation.
This is just four of thousands of products developed by Prym. It’s easy to see why they are the international leader in creative sewing products and Haberdashery. If you’re interested in any of Prym's products then call our sales team for further advice.
Until next time,
