Winter has definitely arrived and we need to think about staying warm in this colder weather. If you are looking for an easy to work with versatile fabric, look no further than our Fleece selection! Here at Calico Laine, we have a huge choice of colours and designs to suit everyone which can also be used for an array of different ideas whether its dressmaking or simple blankets! The great thing about fleece is that it wont fray and is wonderfully soft to the touch! All of our Fleeces are 150 cm wide and are all anti-pill so you wont get that 'bobbling' effect which you may with less quality products.. Fleece is used for many different dressmaking garments such as jackets and jumpers to provide warmth and comfort whilst still being breathable. We have many different rich colours to choose from so you can find your perfect shade easily! We also have a selection of Printed Fleece too which include some fantastic designs ranging from skull and crossbones to Doggy Fleece! Why not make a simple blanket or pyjamas.. Many people have made 'onesies' using our fleece  and created different animals such as pigs and dogs by combining different colours and easily sewing Open Ended Zips along the front to finish the garment off. You can also use the Fleece as a lining of a coat or jacket, it will make a beautifully warm garment which would be lovely and soft to the touch! You can also use Fleece for animal blankets, which I recently used the 'Black Cow Fleece' for my horse which looked fantastic as she is the same colour! You can line dog beds too and coordinate the colours with your interior!
