It feels like we’ve only just got over Christmas, so it seems strange to be talking about Easter already! Fabrics for Easter
When we think of Easter, we think of lovely spring florals. If you head to our website and look under the category Cotton Print Fabrics, you will find a wealth of floral prints. From big and bold to delicately ditsy, there is something that is bound to take your fancy. One of my personal favourites is the
Pink Small Floral Cotton Poplin Fabric. I think this would be beautiful made into a dress for a little girl perhaps with peter pan collar. Alternatively, a best seller of our ours is the
Blue Denim Cotton Print Fabric. This is also a great fabric for dressmaking and would look adorable with a pair of white Broderie Anglaise Frill Trimmed socks. Both fabrics perfectly suit Easter Sunday celebrations!
So that’s the kids dressed, but what about the table. Nothing says Easter quite like a gingham check. At Calico Laine we aren’t short of options when it comes to ginghams, and these are great for making table clothes. They come in a range of lovely colours and check sizes so you’ll likely be spoilt for choice. For something with an added extra detail, you should take a look at the Daisy Print Gingham Fabric that comes in pale blue, lilac and cerise.
Easter Crafts

Crafts too! If you want something simple to have a go at this Easter, why not try pom pom chicks and bunnies. This is a great one to do with the kids. All you need is some wool (which we have plenty of) and a
pom pom maker which we stock a range of. We even have stick on eyes to add a bit of character to your Easter menagerie.
For the more advanced crafters out there, crochet Easter crafts are great. I love the idea of little chicks that you can put a small Easter in; not only because it involves chocolate, but they make great gifts too!
