Duchess Satin is a luxurious fabric which is most suitable for dresses with a more structured form. Being a heavier weight satin dressmaking fabric it does not have a lot of drape and therefore lends itself to designs that do not require a lot of movement such as an A line dress, a 50's style vintage look or a mermaid dress. Duchess Satin is a wider fabric at 150 cm wide which means that it will suit most wedding dress patterns.
