When doing any dressmaking project you are always going to need a good selection of accessories in your sewing box.  At Calico Laine we have sold and used dressmaking fabrics and accessories for over 30 years. We believe that everything we have on this site is ideal for any dressmaking that you may undertake. I will talk now about some of the most popular accessories we sell for dressmaking:
- Bias Binding: There are a number of different choices available with bias. The main difference is the fabric compositions in them. We offer three different types of bias:  a 100% cotton version, polycotton version and a satin version.  We now also have a printed bias available as well.
- Elastics: Any sewer will have elastics in their sewing box. We do a number of different elastics including both flat and round elastics.
- Hemming Tape: One of the best things ever made! This saves any complicated cutting by allowing you to just turn up your trousers. A brilliant invention. We offer both branded and unbranded types of hemming tapes.
- Ribbons: One of the biggest sections on the site. We pride ourselves in the choice of ribbons that we offer. There are thousands of different colour and size combinations to choose from!
- Scissors: A must have item for any sewer. We use the Fiskars scissors range here and have done for many years. We do also offer a number of other alternatives as well.
- Threads: We have recently just upgraded this part of the site. It is now a much easier section to use and gives you a great example of the different colours available.
