This week has been a particularly busy one for costume fabrics as yesterday saw the hugely popular event, World Book Day taking place in schools, nurseries and children's groups up and down the country. World Book Day is one of the biggest celebrations in the academic calendar, a celebration of books, authors and reading and gives children the opportunity to explore the pleasure of books and ignite their imagination as they share their favourite tales with their friends, family and teachers. Over recent years it has become traditional for children of all ages to dress up as their favourite literary characters such as Matilda, Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter. This costume is a replica of of the outfit worn by the character april O'Neil from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and was created using our excellent quality gaberchino Dress Fabric, although not a traditional fancy Dress Fabric gaberchino was perfect for creating for creating the famous boiler suit worn by the character in the popular movie and comic strip.
