In my short entry today I am going to discuss some of our latest new arrivals of Dressmaking Fabrics. When the weather is hot outside it makes perfect sense to have a great choice different summer dresses. Below are some of our latest arrivals and also some of my personal favourite summer fabrics: Chiffons: a beautiful summer dressmaking fabric, chiffon is  a light sheer fabric that can be used on it's own or with other fabric. Here at Calico Laine we offer a range different chiffons in a number of colours, prints and different widths. Cotton Prints: these are a very popular fabric with both staff and customers. My favourite is the Firenze range, they are simply stunning and look beautiful once made up. These fabrics have a cotton and elastic fibre cotent, making them incredibly  comfortable to wear. Poplins: a light weight polycotton fabric, poplin is ideal to make into summer shirts as it is light and airy. Linen Fabrics: Our selection of linens are beautiful and come in a number of stunning colours. These fabric are perfect to wear on long hot summer days! I hope you have enjoyed my entry today.
