Her at Calico Laine we have ample choice of many different fabrics in an array of colours and finishes. As we are entering the warmer months, there are more occasions that seem to come up so the need for new outfits is a must! We have many different fabrics that will ensure a beautiful classic finish along with comfort, we shall try and help you decide on what fabrics available to choose from One of my personal favourites is our range of Crepe. Crepe is a stunning, lightly textured material which is available in a choice of elegant colours and can be made into all sorts of different garments whether its a skirt, dress, jacket or top! It will also hang beautifully and really compliment whoever is wearing the garment! Crepe is a medium weight fabric and is 150 cm wide and will ensure that you capture the 'classic' look as the quality is so easy to see! Another beautiful fabric to consider is Microfibre. This fabric has such a beautiful flow and really does create some stunning dress wear. It has a smooth finish and will drape wonderfully! Available in a wide choice of colours the microfibre is lovely and soft to the touch. If you love the microfibre but want a lighter option, we also stock a range of Microfibre Peachskin. Again, the Peachskin has that wonderful flowing effect to it and will create beautiful evening wear or maxi dresses and skirts. If you are searching for a heavier weight fabric, the Melton is a superb fabric.  It has the same feel as boiled wool and is perfect to make into jackets and coats!
