The advantage of using deco mesh, tulle, dress net or snowsheer is that they don't fray. They are all ready to use. The average door takes about 7 meters of fabric with more needed in the same or a contrasting colour for the bow. I like multi layered textured bow personally with a couple of festive shades all tied up together with ribbons.
Christmas is definitely the perfect opportunity to use up all of your ribbon ends in your haberdashery box.
