Christmas Fabrics have started to arrive here at Calico Laine and it really is that time of year again that we are thinking about the festive season and what ideas we can come up with whether you are making gifts or decorations we have some beautiful designs coming in! All of our fabrics are made from the highest quality and come from the top makes such as Moda, Hoffman and Rose & Hubble and are made from 100% cotton. So what can you start making with these wonderful designs? We have the traditional patterns and the more modern designs. All have stunning rich colours included such as those beautiful reds, greens and golds which really bring the Christmas spirit! As our Christmas Fabrics are beautifully soft and they can be made into an array of different ideas.  Many people make them into Toys for gifts and send them to friends and family.  A great idea is to combine a few different fabrics to create a patchwork look. This technique can be used to make into cushions also which are pretty simple to make. We stock a fantastic range of Haberdashery so you can really add your individual touch and create a real rustic Christmas look. We stock many different Zips and Buttons (also self cover buttons) which enable you to accessorize your ideas too! The great thing  about self cover buttons is that you can cover them with your own chosen fabrics and they can be used on clothing and accessories too! Another idea is to create your own Christmas Tree decorations and add your own personal touch. You could create stars, boots etc with your fabric and fill them with toy stuffing.
