Any and every bride-to-be wants her big day to be perfect; from decorations to outfits and songs to food, absolutely everything must be exactly as she and her groom want it. A big part of any wedding is the bride’s gown and, of course, her bridesmaids’ outfits; we quite often have brides-to-be visit us in-store to see our selection of Bridal Fabrics for themselves before they choose. In today’s blog, we’ll be talking about a few of the Fabrics that we recommend to them, in the hope that it will aid you with your own choice of Bridal Fabrics for your own wedding outfit.
Duchess Satin – A customer favourite all year round, we have an amazing range of colours available in this stunning Bridal Fabric. With a beautiful weight and matte finish, this Fabric looks absolutely beautiful when made up and is great for both bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses.
Satin Back Crepe – A lighter Bridal Fabric than others, our Satin Back Crepe is a lovely, flowing Fabric that is reversible, meaning whether your preference in Fabrics is shiny or matte, you can use either side and be satisfied with the results. These Fabrics look fantastic when layered with sheer Fabrics, such as our Chiffons or Organzas.
Satin Back Dupion – Like the Satin Back Crepe, this Bridal Fabric is reversible and features an interesting texture due to the slubs in the weave. We have been complimented on our colour range by customers who have been pleasantly surprised to find more unusual colours such as peach and cinnamon available from us.
Taffeta – This Bridal Fabric is always popular, and is a great choice for gowns that require a bit of body and flair as it is a stiff Fabric and able to hold its own weight. It is definitely a good Fabric to consider if you are after something a little unusual, as many of our Taffeta shades are actually two-tone colours.
Have you used any of these Bridal Fabrics for your own big day? Did you use something else that perhaps we haven’t covered? Let us know on our Facebook page – we love to hear back from our customers!
