We are always on the lookout for fabrics which will not only look great, but will be comfortable to wear. Having a fabric which has an element of stretch or 'give' to it will not only make into a great fitting garment, it will not restrict you and be a joy to wear. Our range of Bi Stretch is a very popular choice of fabrics as it has a 2 way give to it! It it not terribly stretchy so will not cling, but will just have the right amount of give to make a great looking garment. Bi Stretch is commonly used to make into trousers, tops and jackets as it is a medium weight fabric. It is also used to make into work and school trousers as it it quite a smart looking fabric! This fabric is made from 100% Polyester and comes in a selection of great colours too! It also has an element of drape to it so is perfect for a smart looking dress that will flow beautifully! Another bonus with Bi Stretch is that it wont crease, so will always keep its shape and requires minimum care! We have recently added Memphis Bi Stretch to our range. It has slightly more stretch to it and is very commonly made into evening dresses, work wear and trousers! If you are looking for a figure hugging fabrics that will hold you in all of the right places, this is the perfect fabric to choose! We have a select classic colour range in the Memphis Fabric which is also 150 cm wide! If you are looking for very stretch fabrics, we have many different choices! Lycra is one of the most obvious as it is made from 80% nylon and 20% spandex so is fabulously stretchy! Many people use Lycra for dance and sports wear as it wont restirct the body at all and has a matte shine to it! Lycra comes in stunning vibrant colours so will surely make a show stopping garment which will also drape well if you are planning to make a shirt or long sleeves... You can also use Lycra for fancy dress too! Lycra Jersey is another choice which is a more elegant looking fabric which is perfect to make into evening wear as it hangs beautifully! It has a completely matte look to it and is quite a light weight fabric too and comes in a standard width of 150cm wide!
