Here at Calico Laine we stock a large range of ribbons which are one of the most popular haberdashery items with our customers. We stock a number of different brands of ribbon, with the most well known being berisford's ribbons however in the last few years a new brand of ribbon is becoming more and more popular; Bertie's Bows Ribbons.
Bertie's Bows Ribbons are a comparatively new company to Berisford's ribbons as they only started designing ribbons three years ago. They spotted a gap in the market with a the growing trend of home-made goods including knitting, sewing and crafting and felt that a shabby chic style of ribbon would fit in well with this handmade trend. As well as designing ribbons they also create a number of trimmings including pom pom trim and ric rac.
As Bertie's Bows Ribbons are geared towards customers who are creating handmade items, they have produced a lovely range of ribbons which can be used as labels for your home-made creations. These include phrases such as 'sewn with love', 'handmade with love' and 'knitted with love'. Along the ribbons are small black vertical lines which separate the phrases so that they can be cut to create labels that can be sewn into clothes or glued onto handmade products to let your customers or receivers of gifts know that the item is handmade.
Bertie's Bow Ribbons also create a number of beautiful occasion ribbons including some gorgeous Easter ribbons which will be particularly useful in the next few weeks for decorating easter eggs, cakes and bonnets.
