Here at Calico Laine we are well known for our huge selection of different ribbons in a large variety of colours, patterns and styles. One of the best known ribbon brands that we stock are Berisfords Ribbons and although the plain satin ribbons are our best sellers, they manufacture a large array of beautiful ribbons that can be used for all different projects.
As mentioned, the satin ribbons are very popular with our customers but another range from Berisfords Ribbons that are popular are the sheer ribbons which are similar to a chiffon in look and feel. These ribbons are ideal for weddings and are often used by brides and bridal companies as an alternative to satin ribbons or as well as using them with satin ribbons to compliment them. Available in sizes from 10mm to 40mm they can be used for a number of different wedding projects including on handmade invitations and as decoration around the bottom of a wedding cake. The larger size can also be used to tie bows on the back of chair covers or for a sash on a child or babies bridesmaid dress.
One of my personal favourite sheer ribbons from the Berisfords Ribbons range is the sheer elegance ribbon. This ribbon has a sheer centre and is trimmed with a thin satin on the top and bottom edge. This looks particularly elegant as suggested in the name and is ideal for a wedding. Although this ribbon only comes in 5 colours they are colours that would suit most weddings as they are white, gold, ivory and pale pink.
