Winter is slowly coming to end right? Well each year it seems to last longer and longer. To brighten up this cold winters day i'm going to talk about summer dressmaking fabrics in todays blog. Those long hot summer nights dressed in a lovely light cotton dress are not to far away,  and for the lucky few you may be enjoying it already!!!! Here at Calico Laine we have been planning and expanding our range of Dressmaking Fabrics for some time now. One of best new fabrics to come in are the range of new Summer Print Fabrics. In this section on the site we have the traditional Polka Dot Fabrics, but new in this week are the summer range of fabrics that are a polyester mix with a hint of spandex in them. These new fabrics really are fabulous and come in a great selection of colours and patterns. Potentially you could have a different dress for each night of the week. Ideal if your taking them away with you!!!! The first of the new summer prints are from the Firenze range. They are 97% cotton and 3 % spandex and really lend themselves to dressmaking. The small amount of spandex in these fabrics allows for a slight stretch and can relly enhance your figure. This fabric is made in Japan and is 130cm wide. It is priced at only £7.49 per metre and the range of colours and patterns look fabulous. The next range that has come in is from the Jardin Summer Prints range. As it says in the title these fabrics really are ideal for the summer months. Bright vibrant colours really mark these as some of my favourites for this summer. These fabrics are made from 100% cotton in Japan. This range is 145cm wide and priced at £7.49 per metre. The last but by no means least addition to this section are the Summer Cotton Lawn Fabrics. These cotton lawns come with either a soft or firm handle, and both really look amazing. These fabrics are both 100% cotton and also made in Japan. They are 145cm wide and priced at only £6.49 per metre. I hope you have enjoyed reading the blog today and it has given you some creative ideas to play with.
