At Calico Laine we have recently just updated our Fancy Dress Fabrics section to make it easier to use. These updates include moving all Fancy Dress Fabrics into one section and adding new products. Below I have gone into more detail about each of the Fabrics and some of  Fancy Dress costumes I have made using them.
  • Crushed Velvet Fabrics: This range of Fabrics are 150cm wide and are available in over 15 colours. In the past I have used this Fabric to make tops and scarfs for my Fancy Dress Costume. This worked really well on my pirate costume recently!!!
  • Faux Fur Fabrics: An excellent long pile fur fabric that has many uses for creating a great costume. This Fabric lends itself to creating coats, cloaks, bags, hats and even all in one suits!!! Our range of Faux Fur Fabrics are 150 cm wide and prices at only £8.99 per metre.
  • Halloween Fabrics: One of the most popular times of the year for fancy dress, halloween seems to get bigger and bigger every year. At Calico Laine we stock 10 different designs of Halloween Fabrics all year round. Halloween Fabrics don't seem to be just for halloween anymore, with fancy dress parties happening all year round,  you really need to be able to get dressed up whenever you want. At Calico Laine we understand this and thats why you get all these scary fabrics at anytime of the year!!!
  • Printed Satin Fabrics: This section of our fancy dress fabrics is our latest addition to our range. These satins are 150cm and 100% polyester. These fabrics are ideal for creating clown outfits for example. Many of our customers who use these fabrics are in the children's entertainment industry. Must be all the bright colours hey?
  • Showtime Fabrics: These fabrics are mainly used in the dance industry, although we have had customers use them for ice skating costumes. Thinking back we have also had customers make 70's costumes using showtime fabrics. With prices from £3.29 up to £7.99 per metre this section is easily one of the best on the site.
  • Velboa Skins: This range of fabrics one of my personal favourites. Over time I have used all these fabrics to make bags, jackets, coats, throws and bags to name a few. These fabrics really are versatile and can used to make all sorts of fancy dress outfits. These fabrics are all 150 cm wide and priced only £5.99 per metre. A real bargain and must have for any fancy dress occasion!!!!
